Tek One

I was first put onto Tek One from a friend of mine a while back and since then they have gone from strength to strength with mary ann hobbs supporting their tracks. A live element is added to their shows with one of them playing drums on top of their own tracks. 

This latest mix aka yellow cake features wobbily bass lines banging tunes, and is a mix that i currently have on repeat.

Culture Clash 2

The coming together of 4 bass heavy sound systems at the round house in london did not disappoint. The sound systems that took to the rinf were One Nation, metalheadz, soul jazz and skream and benga and each had something to offer for the night. However skream and benga were on form and with the likes of joker supporting them as well tune after tune was being dropped and rattling the round house to its foundations.

The banter did not disappoint either with metalheadz gunning for the dubstep boys, and sgt pokes giving it as much as he got the night was setting up nicely. 

However on the night it was neither metalheadz or skream and benga that prospered, one nation who brought the reggae vibes winning the sound clash winning the crowd over at the end to beat skream and benga 3-2.
